ANSWERS

1. When is the run?
The run will start at Saturday 9th September 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (12 noon) and will end at Sunday 10th September 2017 at 12:00 p.m. (12 noon).

2. Is there only one run?
No. There will be a 24 hours run and a 3 hours run.

3. How do I register?
Registration is made online, on the Lap2Go website.

4. What are the available options for payment?
Options of payment available are: ATM or paypal service (added fees apply). For other options, manly for foreign runners, it is possible to make a bank transfer (contact us at geral@24hportugal.com).

5. Gotta run alone or can I do it as a team?
You can run alone or as a team.

6. Who can make the registrations?
The athlete himself, if participating individually, or the team captain, if you’re going to run as a team.

7. I’m captain of my team but I still don’t have my whole team. Can I still proceed to registration?
Yes. You can register and make the entire payment, thus ensuring your team’s presence. In the act of registration, if the team is not set yet, entirely or in part, the team captain may register “athlete 1”, “athlete 2”; etc. You can later request by mail (until August 27, 2017), either the inclusion or replacement of athletes, to eventos@lap2go.com.

8. How is the 24 hours run? Am I forced to run continuously?
The management of run is responsibility of the athletes and teams. You can run uninterruptedly, stop to rest, sleep or feed, every time and for the period of time you want to.

9. How is the 3 hours run?
There will be 4 departures (the first three on Saturday and the fourth one on Sunday morning) for the 3 hours run. During registration, you will be able to choose at what time you want to run.

10. How is the decision about the winners of the runs?
The winner (or winning team) will be, the one(s) who run the longest distance during the time of the run (or 24h ou 3h).

11. All athletes from the same team must run for equal period of time?
It is not mandatory. The team captain will manage the team the way he considers the best. The number of periods and the running period of each athlete are decided by the team captain along with the rest of the team.

12. Is it possible to have more than one athlete from the same team, running at the same time?
No. Each team can’t have more than one athlete simultaneously on the track.

13. Is it mandatory, for the teams, to have always an athlete on the track?
No. All athletes of the same team may rest simultaneously, if they fell like.

14. Is there a minimum distance to be run?
No.

15. Besides the rigth to participate, what more do I get when registering?
In both runs (24 hours running and 3 hours running), the registration rate includes:

  • Sports insurance;
  • Bib;
  • T-shirt;
  • Food and beverage supplies during the run (exclusive for athletes  competing);
  • Finisher medal;
  • Shower and facilities;
  • Possibility of camping.

16. How long is the track?
Approximately 2100m.

17. Are there lamp post all the way?
Yes. You don’t need head lamp.

18. What is the direction of the run?
Anti-clockwise direction.

19. Is the paddock tend near the track?
Yes, the
paddock tend is right beside the track.

20. Where is the supplies table installed?
The supplies table is situated right beside the track and you can access it every time you are competing.

21. May I receive personal supplies?
Yes.

22. Which kind of supplies will be available?
Water, isotonic drink, coke, coffee, marmalade, chips, bananas, oranges, watermelon, tomato with salt and sweet pasta.

23. Regarding the teams, how does the athlete transition takes place?
Each athlete will have his (her) personal chip. Besides that, there will be a team-transition chip, to be changed between athletes in the transition zone.

24. When can I have my bib?
The secretariat will be open on Friday afternoon and during all weekend until 8:30 am onn Sunday.
